Herring Creek Summer Retreat, Waterfront, Oversized Pool, Private Association Shore Beach

Nestled into an expansive waterfront lot on the Edgartown Great Pond in prestigious Herring Creek Farm, you’ll find this true Vineyard casual cottage adorned with antique Vineyard collections of original artwork and comfortable furnishings. One of the best (and largest) vintage 70’s pools on the Vineyard, not heated!

You can paddle the Edgartown Great Pond by kayak or canoe to the best stretch of South Beach, only accessible by visiting members of the coveted Herring Creek Farm Association, or rent a skiff delivered to the waterfront to access the pond and beach areas.  This private ocean beach will provide hours of fun jumping in the surf or soaking up the sun on its soft sand shoreline. If you decide to have lunch at home, you can dine on the patio poolside, and watch the kids take a jump off the diving board into the spectacular (and huge!) in-ground pool. The pool overlooks the beautiful Great Pond, and there is a boathouse with kayaks, a canoe, and other beach amenities adjacent to the pool area.

The Living Room is open to the Kitchen and Dining area and is adorned with original cottage paneling and vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is updated with stainless appliances and fully stocked with everything you would need to entertain and cook. There is an additional cozy sitting room with an office area off the Living Room, with Wifi service and a comfortable sofa for catching up on reading.

The Primary Bedroom suite has a full bathroom with a tub, shower, double vanities, and vaulted ceilings. Sliding doors open onto a private deck with full water views of the Pond and pool area. Another large bedroom has an ensuite bath with shower, and the third bedroom has a pair of twin beds with a tub/shower bath across the hall and access to a private outside patio. There is an additional large bedroom fondly known as the bunk room that can be accessed from outside only but yet is very much a part of the house. This bedroom shares the hall bath with the twin bedroom.

Enjoy your nights under the stars of the Edgartown Great Pond in complete privacy, and venture into downtown Edgartown for a culinary and shopping experience unrivaled, and only a short drive away. A wonderful, authentic getaway for a large family.

Note: Parking at the private association beach is prohibited.  Each owner in this area has a golf cart for easy access to the beach.

Biking to the beach is both easy and safe as you never leave the confines of Herring Creek. The owner offers Golf Cart for an additional $350 per week. No one under 18 is allowed to drive the golf cart!

Skiff rentals are available and are delivered to the waterfront. This provides families boat access to the extraordinary private south shore beach right from the property. It is but a five-minute motor across the extraordinary Great Pond to the beach where one can drop anchor.
